Typical across India: 9–10 weeks on most variants, 11–12 weeks on the entry HTK 42 kWh (dealer-level chart via Team-BHP/Cartoq, 26 August 2026). (as of 26 Aug 2026)
Owner reports on Team-BHP through September–October 2026 describe delivery slipping beyond the dealer's quoted window in some cities; these are dealer-level estimates, not a Kia India-wide figure.

The Auto Grid Review
Kia Syros EV Review: Our Verdict
We've only had a handful of Syros EVs through the Kondapur bay so far — it only started reaching Hyderabad dealers mid-2026 — but the pattern is already familiar from the ICE Syros: the low-floor sills and lower doors on the X-Line ER pick up road grit first, and the side charging port flap is a small, easily-scratched panel that owners don't think to protect until we point it out. The bigger 51.4 kWh Extended Range cars we've seen have all come in clean from the factory, no dealer-buff marks, and the Harman Kardon-equipped top trims are usually the ones booked in for a full-body film rather than just the front.
What we like
- +526 km ARAI range on the Extended Range pack is genuinely best-in-segment
- +39-minute 10–80% DC fast charging and a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty
- +Battery-as-a-Service option lowers the entry price for budget-conscious buyers
- +Same practical, reclining second row as the ICE Syros
What we’d change
- –Waiting periods have stretched beyond the dealer's quoted window for some early bookers (Team-BHP owner reports)
- –Front-wheel drive only — no AWD option even on the top trim
- –Side charging port is an easily-overlooked panel for scratches
- –Too new for independent long-term reliability data
Is the Syros EV right for you? Seven driver personalities, scored
Find the row that sounds like your driving life — that is the verdict that matters for you.
City Commuter
10–30 km a day through traffic
The 42 kWh car's real-world range comfortably covers a week of Kondapur commuting between charges, and the low-floor cabin keeps getting in and out easy.
Highway Cruiser
ORR laps and expressway weekends
The Extended Range pack and 171 PS motor make ORR and Vijayawada-highway runs genuinely relaxed, with 39-minute fast charging at a stop for coffee.
Family First
Four or five aboard, school runs to road trips
A reclining, ventilated second row and the Syros' strong safety package carry over cleanly to the EV.
Driving Enthusiast
Cares how it steers, not just how it looks
171 PS and a single front motor are adequate rather than exciting; there's no performance variant on offer.
First-Car Buyer
Budget-conscious and resale-aware
The BaaS option lowers the entry cost, but it's still a bigger step up than a first-time buyer's typical petrol hatchback or compact SUV.
Chauffeur-Driven Executive
Judged from the rear seat
Quiet, smooth and well-equipped in the back on the ER trims, though it's a compact SUV footprint rather than a dedicated executive car.
Weekend Explorer
Ghats, dirt tracks and monsoon roads
Front-wheel drive and road-biased tyres mean it's a highway and city EV rather than an off-road weekend tool.
Paint Protection
PPF for the Kia Syros EV: What We Install and Why
Where it takes damage
The low-floor sills and lower doors pick up road grit first, same as the ICE Syros, and the side charging-port flap is a small panel that scratches easily if left unprotected.
Our recommendation
AG1 full-front film with sill protection and a dedicated charging-port guard; AG1 Square full body for Extended Range top-trim buyers who want the car to stay showroom-fresh.
Coverage
Full front plus charging-port guard as standard; add sill strips and a full-body upgrade for ER top trims.

FAQs
Kia Syros EV: Questions Buyers Ask
Kia's own trim comparison lists the Syros EV from ₹13,49,900 (HTK, 42 kWh) to ₹19,99,900 (X-Line ER, 51.4 kWh) ex-showroom; a Battery-as-a-Service plan brings the entry chassis price down to ₹7.99 lakh plus ₹3.3/km for the battery, as of 29 October 2026.
ARAI MIDC-Full figures are 404 km on the 42 kWh pack and 526 km on the 51.4 kWh Extended Range pack — Kia markets the 526 km figure as best-in-segment.
A dealer-level chart from late August 2026 showed 9–10 weeks on most variants and 11–12 weeks on the entry HTK, though several owners on Team-BHP reported actual delivery slipping beyond that window through September and October — confirm the current estimate with your dealer before relying on it.
Kia claims a 10–80% charge in about 39 minutes on a 100 kW DC fast charger; the high-voltage battery carries a lifetime warranty.
The Syros EV's 526 km Extended Range figure beats both Tata EVs on paper, and its cabin is noticeably more spacious; Tata counters with a longer EV track record and a wider service network. We'd pick the Syros EV for range and space, the Punch/Nexon EV for established ownership history.
On paper, yes — best-in-segment range, fast charging and a lifetime battery warranty. The caveat is that waiting periods have run longer than dealers initially quoted for some early bookers, so set expectations on delivery timing before paying a booking amount.
The low-floor sills take the most road grit, and the side charging-port flap is an easily-missed panel for scratches, so our standard Syros EV package covers the front, sills and a charging-port guard. Message Auto Grid on WhatsApp for a plan matched to your trim.
