AG1 PPF — Common Questions
AG1 is India's first and only homegrown Paint Protection Film, developed by Auto Grid in collaboration with BITS Hyderabad. It is engineered specifically for Indian road and climate conditions — Hyderabad's extreme UV index, monsoon humidity, and highway debris on the ORR. It is manufactured in India and exclusive to Auto Grid.
AG1 is built for Indian conditions — high UV, monsoon, dust, and city traffic — while XPEL is a globally engineered film. AG1 carries an 8-year warranty (AG1 Square: 12 years). XPEL Ultimate Plus carries a 10-year warranty and is the gold standard for optical clarity. Our technicians will recommend the right film based on your car, usage, and how the car is driven.
AG1 carries an 8-year manufacturer warranty covering delamination, bubbling, yellowing, and cracking. AG1 Square — the premium variant — carries a 12-year warranty and includes a hydrophobic top coat. Both warranties are backed by Auto Grid directly.
AG1 Square is the premium variant of AG1. It uses advanced self-healing TPU with faster recovery, maximum optical clarity, enhanced edge definition, and comes with a hydrophobic top coat included in the film. It carries a 12-year warranty versus the standard AG1's 8-year warranty. Recommended for luxury, premium, and high-usage vehicles.
