PPF for Jeep Compass Hyderabad
PPF for Jeep Compass Hyderabad owners is a different brief from a Creta or a Seltos. The Compass is a premium diesel SUV people keep for the better part of a decade, it goes places most city SUVs don't, and its tall bonnet and seven-slot grille take highway stone chips first. Auto Grid in Kondapur installed AG1 full PPF on a Jeep Compass in October 2026, and we plot every Compass — Sport, Longitude (O), Limited (O), Model S (O), Trail and Track Editions — on computer-cut templates in a dust-controlled bay. AG1 (8-year warranty), AG1 Square (12-year), XPEL, STEK, 3M, LLumar and Garware — we'll recommend the right film for your variant and colour, honestly.
Why the Compass Needs It
Risks a Jeep Compass Faces on Hyderabad Roads
ORR & NH-44 at Highway Speed
The Compass's bonnet is tall, long and nearly flat — a 4.4-metre SUV with a high, upright nose that meets every stone thrown up on the ORR, the Bengaluru highway and the Srisailam road head-on. The seven-slot grille surround, the leading edge of the bonnet and the lower fascia are the first panels to chip on an unprotected Compass.
Weekend Trail & Farmhouse Roads
The Model S (O) 4x4 and Track Edition 4x4 with Selec-Terrain — and every older Trailhawk still on Hyderabad roads — get taken where other SUVs don't: gravel approach roads to farmhouses around Moinabad and Shankarpally, Jeep Trails weekend runs, and red-mud tracks outside the ORR. Gravel spray, thorn scrub and dried mud scrub the doors, sills, cladding edges and rear quarters as much as the bonnet.
Dark Paint & Open Parking in the West
Brilliant Black, Galaxy Blue and Techno Metallic Green are among the most-ordered Compass colours, and all three show swirl marks, bird-drop etching and water spots far more than Pearl White. Open parking in Gachibowli tech parks and Jubilee Hills driveways means sustained UV, dust and fallout on the bonnet, roof and two-tone roof panel every single day.
Two things make the Compass unusual among SUVs we protect. First, the ownership horizon: Jeep has shelved the next-generation Compass for India and confirmed the current car continues with special editions — the Trail Edition in July 2025, the Track Edition in October 2025 and the 85-unit 85th Anniversary Edition in August 2026 — so an owner buying today is not expecting a replacement model to tempt them out of it. Jeep's Confidence 7 programme extends warranty and maintenance to seven years for the same reason. A car you will keep that long is a car whose factory paint is worth sealing on day one.
Second, where it goes. Every Compass sold new in India today runs the 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel, and the Model S (O) and Track Edition automatics can be had with Jeep Active Drive 4x4 and Selec-Terrain. Those are the cars that leave the tarmac on weekends — to farmhouses past Moinabad, to the Jeep Trails events, up the Srisailam ghat — and their doors, sills and lower cladding come back with the fine scratching that gravel and scrub leave behind. The older Trailhawk, with its extra ground clearance, skid plates and Rock mode, was built for exactly that, and plenty of them are still in daily use around Gachibowli and Jubilee Hills.
Timing Matters
From Booking to Protected — the Compass PPF Window
Order Placed
The Compass is built to order at Ranjangaon, and a waiting period of several weeks is normal, especially on 4x4 and special-edition variants. Use that time to decide on film brand and coverage so the slot is ready before the car is.
Car Delivered
Factory-perfect paint, zero chips, zero swirls — the day you collect the car from your Jeep dealership in Hyderabad. We can collect it from the showroom that afternoon.
Ideal PPF Window
Best time to apply PPF. Zero paint correction needed, the film bonds to untouched clear coat, and the car is protected from its very first ORR run.
Correction Required
After a few months of Hyderabad highway driving, an unprotected Compass bonnet and front bumper usually carry visible chips — these have to be corrected before film can go on, which adds time and cost.
Many customers coordinate directly with their Hyderabad Jeep dealer to bring the Compass to our Kondapur studio before it's driven home for the first time — we offer free pickup from any Jeep showroom in the city. WhatsApp your expected delivery date and we'll plan the slot.
Brand Recommendation
Which PPF Brand Fits Your Jeep Compass
No single brand is right for every Compass variant — here's how we recommend, based on trim, colour and how long you plan to keep the car. On a Compass, that last question matters more than on almost any other SUV we see.
AG1
8-year warranty · 192µm (7.6 mil) ±10%
Default recommendation for the Sport, Longitude (O) and Trail Edition. Engineered for Indian heat, dust and roads; self-healing top coat; the sensible match for a Compass you expect to keep around five years.
AG1 Square
12-year warranty · 221µm
Our pick for the Model S (O), Track Edition and 85th Anniversary Edition, and for any Compass you plan to keep long-term. The thickest film we install, with a hydrophobic top coat included — matches the Compass's ten-year ownership horizon.
XPEL Ultimate Plus
10-year warranty · 193µm
For owners who specifically want the globally established name on a premium SUV — best-in-class optical clarity on dark colours like Brilliant Black and Galaxy Blue, and a brand that used-Compass buyers already recognise.
We also install STEK DYNOshield (200 ± 10µm, 10-year warranty), 3M Scotchgard Pro (around 203µm including adhesive, 10-year warranty), Garware (175–195µm, 5- or 8-year warranty, lifetime on the Titanium tier) and LLumar (178–203µm, 5-, 10- or 12-year warranty depending on tier) on the Compass. STEK is a good fit on the Trail Edition if you want the gloss to sit well next to its Neutral Grey trim and Granite Metallic wheels; Garware and LLumar are the sensible budget-conscious choices on a used Compass bought for the daily commute.
Colour changes the recommendation too. Brilliant Black, Galaxy Blue and Techno Metallic Green are deep, high-gloss finishes where any film haze or orange peel shows, so we steer those cars to AG1 Square or XPEL Ultimate Plus for optical clarity. Pearl White, Silvery Moon, Grigio Magnesio Grey and Exotica Red are more forgiving and standard AG1 looks factory-identical on them.
Not sure which fits your variant? WhatsApp your Compass's trim and colour — we'll give you an honest recommendation, not just the most expensive option.

Decals and badges. The Trailhawk's matte black anti-glare bonnet decal, the Trail Edition's hood and side graphics, the Track Edition's hood decal and the 85th Anniversary decal are all factory vinyl. We never film over them blind — we show you on the car whether to film around the decal with a tucked edge, or go matte-finish across the whole bonnet to keep the anti-glare look. Trail Rated, Black Shark and edition fender badges are plotted around, not covered.
PPF and Your Compass's Resale Value
The Compass sells in small numbers in India, which cuts both ways at resale. There is a loyal pool of buyers who specifically want a used Compass — the hot-stamped steel body, the Multijet diesel, the 4x4 — and that pool inspects closely. A six-year-old Compass with original factory paint under PPF, no respray panels and no bonnet chips stands out immediately from one that has done six years of ORR commuting and Srisailam weekends unprotected. Jeep's own Assured Buyback programme under Confidence 7 is condition-based too, so paint preserved under film is money kept.
This is also why the brand-fit question above is really an ownership-horizon question. If you expect to keep the Compass for a decade — and most owners in Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli who buy one tell us they do — the 12-year AG1 Square or the 10-year XPEL Ultimate Plus is the film whose warranty actually outlasts the ownership. The film warranty is registered in your name and documented, so when you do sell, the next owner sees a registered, transferable warranty rather than a vague "has PPF" on the listing.
How We Install It
PPF Installation on a Jeep Compass at Auto Grid
Our most recent Compass — an AG1 full PPF job completed in October 2026 — came to the Kondapur studio through our Google Ads enquiry line. The Compass has more hard edges than most SUVs its size, and we plot and tuck every one of them.
Paint Inspection
We check the Compass's factory paint for transit scuffs, dealer-PDI swirls and any pre-delivery touch-ups before film goes anywhere near it. Used Trailhawks and trail-driven cars get a closer look at the sills, cladding edges and rear quarters.
Decontamination
Iron fallout remover, clay bar treatment and a full panel wipe-down — on a Compass that has been off-road we also clear red mud and tar from the wheel-arch cladding lips so the film can seal to clean paint.
Template Plotting
Computer-plotted templates cut to the Compass's exact panels — the long bonnet, the seven-slot grille surround, the squared wheel arches, fender badges and roof-rail bases — with zero freehand cutting on the car.
Dust-Controlled Application
Film applied in our dust-controlled bay. Full-front installation takes 1–2 days; full-body coverage 2–3 days depending on brand, finish and whether there are edition decals to work around. Warranty registered in your name before handover.
A few Compass-specific details we plan for. The bonnet is one of the largest single panels we film on a mid-size SUV, and the seven-slot grille sits in a separate surround, so the bonnet's leading edge is tucked rather than butt-joined to the grille. The Model S (O) and Track Edition run a two-tone roof with roof rails, so full-body coverage includes separate roof sections cut around the rail bases. On the Limited (O), the grille surround is chrome rather than body-coloured; on the Track Edition it is Piano Black — both are masked, not filmed, so the finish stays as Jeep delivered it.
For the 4x4 and older Trailhawk owners who do real trail driving, we also talk through the lower body: the sill mouldings, the wheel-arch cladding and the rear bumper's lower edge take gravel spray at low speed, and a full-body kit covers the painted sections of each. If you tow or load the roof rails, tell us — we can add a rear-bumper loading-edge piece and roof-rail base protection to any kit.
FAQs
PPF for Jeep Compass Hyderabad — Common Questions
Yes — and ideally in the first two weeks after delivery. The Compass is a car people keep for six, eight, ten years, and Jeep has confirmed the current generation stays on sale in India with no next-gen replacement planned, so the paint you protect today is the paint you'll be living with for a long time. A new Compass arrives from the Ranjangaon plant with flawless factory paint that needs zero correction before film goes on. Leave it a few months on the ORR and NH-44 and the tall, flat bonnet is usually carrying chips that have to be corrected first.
For a Sport or Longitude (O), AG1 is our honest default — 192µm (7.6 mil) ±10% thick, 8-year warranty, built for Indian heat and roads. For a Model S (O), Track Edition or 85th Anniversary Edition, or any Compass you intend to keep past five years, we lean to AG1 Square (221µm, 12-year warranty, hydrophobic top coat) or XPEL Ultimate Plus (193µm, 10-year warranty). The Compass is a premium, long-ownership SUV, so the film should match that horizon — a 12-year film on a 10-year car is the right pairing.
It depends on the film (AG1, AG1 Square, XPEL, STEK, 3M, Garware or LLumar), the coverage (full-front or full-body), and whether your Compass has a two-tone roof, Trail or Track Edition decals, or an older Trailhawk bonnet decal. Rather than a figure that may not fit your car, WhatsApp Auto Grid on +91 80193 88862 with your variant and colour — we'll send an accurate quote the same day.
No. Professionally installed PPF is a non-invasive, removable layer on top of the clear coat — nothing is drilled, sanded or chemically altered, so it does not affect the Jeep manufacturer warranty, the Jeep Confidence 7 extended warranty or an Assured Buyback contract. We use computer-plotted templates (no blade on the car) and install in a dust-controlled bay, and the film warranty is registered separately in your name with the film manufacturer.
Full-front (bonnet, front bumper, both fenders, headlamps and mirror caps) covers the panels that take the ORR and highway stone chips, and is where most Compass owners start. We recommend full-body on the Model S (O) 4x4, Track Edition 4x4 and any Compass that does weekend trail or farmhouse-road driving — gravel and thorn scrub mark the doors, sills, cladding edges and rear quarter panels, not just the nose. Full-body also protects the two-tone roof and the rear bumper's loading edge.
Yes, with a caveat. The Trailhawk's matte black anti-glare bonnet decal and the 2025 Trail and Track Edition hood decals are factory-applied vinyl, not paint. Gloss PPF over a matte decal will make it look satin or glossy, so on a Trailhawk we either film the painted bonnet area around the decal with the edge tucked cleanly to the decal line, or use a matte-finish film over the whole bonnet so the anti-glare look stays. For the Trail and Track Editions' hood graphics we'll show you both options on the car before cutting.
Full-front PPF on a Compass takes 1–2 days; full-body takes 2–3 days. The Compass has more edges than most SUVs in its class — the seven-slot grille surround, the wheel-arch cladding, the fender badges and the roof-rail bases — and we allow time to tuck and seal every one rather than rush it. Free pickup and drop across Hyderabad is included, including collecting the car straight from the Jeep dealership on delivery day.
Significantly. The used Compass market is small and inspection-driven — buyers of a six- or eight-year-old Compass check bonnet chips, cladding scuffs and respray panels closely, and Jeep's own Assured Buyback programme values the car on condition. Original factory paint preserved under PPF, with the film warranty registered in your name and transferable with the car, is one of the easiest ways to hold the Compass's value through a long ownership.
