The Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler is the production version of the Global Pik Up concept, a body-on-frame lifestyle double-cab pickup unveiled on 14 August 2026 and confirmed for an India launch by April 2027 with a starting price below ₹19.79 lakh ex-showroom. It will be sold as the Mahindra Lifestyler in export markets. Powertrains, dimensions and variants have not been published.

Where it takes damage
As a double-cab pickup built on Mahindra's next-generation body-on-frame architecture, expect the long bonnet, the flared arches and the load-bed sides to take stone and cargo damage first, as they do on the Hilux and V-Cross we see in Kondapur.
Our recommendation
We will publish an AG1 recommendation once production specifications and paint finishes are confirmed; pickups generally get a full-front install plus bed-side and tailgate protection.

Hilux
The Toyota Hilux is a five-seat double-cab lifestyle pickup on the IMV platform, relaunched in ninth-generation form on 28 July 2026. A 2.8-litre turbo-diesel (204 PS, 500 Nm) with a 6-speed automatic is the only powertrain, in GX 4x2, GX 4x4 and VX 4x4 grades; the 4x4s add H4/L4 low range and a rear differential lock, and seven airbags are standard.

Vision.SXT
The Mahindra Vision.SXT is a lifestyle pickup concept with a clamshell bonnet, flared arches and an open bed, shown on 15 August 2025 on the modular, multi-energy NU_IQ platform. Mahindra says the four NU_IQ concepts will go into production starting 2027 with ICE and EV powertrains and FWD/AWD capability; production specifications, prices and the final name are not yet announced.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler: Questions Buyers Ask
Mahindra's 14 August 2026 press release says the Scorpio Lifestyler will make its debut by April 2027, with India prices starting below ₹19.79 lakh ex-showroom.
It is the production version of the Global Pik Up concept first shown in Cape Town in August 2023: a midsize lifestyle pickup designed at Mahindra India Design Studio and developed at Mahindra Research Valley on Mahindra's next-generation body-on-frame architecture, sold as the Mahindra Lifestyler overseas.
Mahindra has not published the powertrain, dimensions or variant line-up. We will add them when the official specification is released.
Pickups take more panel damage than SUVs because of the load bed and the longer bonnet, so we expect to recommend a full-front install with bed-side protection. Message Auto Grid on WhatsApp closer to launch for a plan.
