Tesla Model Y Review: Our Verdict
The Model Y is the one CBU we see least often in our Kondapur bay simply because Tesla sold so few in Hyderabad through 2026, but the few that come in tell a consistent story. The single-piece cast rear underbody and the flush door handles make calibration marks and panel gaps unusually tight for a China-built car, and the factory clear coat is noticeably harder than the Chinese EVs we see from BYD and MG — it resists the first season of stone chips well, but the low front bumper and the wide aero skirts still take the brunt on Hyderabad's broken ORR service roads. Stealth Grey, the no-cost colour, hides swirl marks far better than the extra-cost Pearl White or Ultra Red, which show every dealer-prep buff under our inspection lamps. The glass roof and the frameless windows mean we treat every Model Y as a full-body job by default; owners who paid ₹60 lakh-plus rarely want anything less.
