AG1 Installer App — Privacy Policy

The AG1 Installer app is operated by Octopus Car Care Private Limited (trading as Auto Grid), Plot No. 93, Camelot Layout, Kondapur Main Road, Serilingampalle, Hyderabad, Telangana 500084, India (GSTIN 36AACCO7952L1ZX). We are the data fiduciary for the data described here under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Contact: hi@autogrid.shop.

AG1 Installer is business software for shops authorised to install AG 1 Paint Protection Film. It lets a shop check vehicles in and out, raise invoices and quotes, register AG 1 warranties, and keep records of its customers, leads, appointments, expenses and finances. It is used by shop owners and their staff, not by the general public. There are no advertisements, no in-app purchases and no analytics SDKs.

Account data (from you, the shop user): your name, mobile number and role. Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your WhatsApp number; we do not store passwords for app users.

Shop identity: shop name, address, GSTIN, phone and email, which are printed on the documents you generate.

Business records you enter: your customers’ names, phone numbers, email addresses (optional), vehicle registration numbers, VIN/chassis numbers, vehicle make and model, job notes, invoices, quotes, payments recorded, expenses and warranty registrations.

Photos and video: vehicle check-in and check-out photos, walk-around videos and warranty installation photos that you choose to capture or upload. The camera is used only when you tap a capture control. We strip GPS location from uploaded images. We do not request device location.

Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, time, request path) kept for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect contacts, calendars, precise location, advertising identifiers or any data from other apps.

To provide the software to your shop: authenticate you, store and display your records, generate invoice, quote and warranty PDFs, email a warranty certificate to the customer when you provide their email, and send you one-time sign-in codes on WhatsApp.

To honour AG 1 warranties: Auto Grid, as the AG 1 brand owner, can see warranty registrations made by every installer and the vehicle, customer and installation details on them, because those are needed to process a claim.

To keep the service secure and working: logs, backups and abuse prevention.

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use your customers’ data to market to them.

Your shop: your records are visible only to users of your shop. Other installers cannot see them.

Auto Grid: Auto Grid administrators can view installer records for support and, as described above, warranty registrations for claims.

Service providers that process data on our instructions: Supabase (database and file storage, hosted in the AWS Mumbai region), Amazon Web Services (application hosting, India), Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform (delivery of sign-in codes and messages you choose to send), and our email provider (sending warranty certificates). No AI or analytics providers receive your data.

We disclose data to authorities only when required by law.

Records are kept for as long as your shop uses the software and for as long as we need them to honour warranties and meet tax and accounting law (invoices: 8 years under Indian GST rules). Photos and videos are kept with the job they belong to.

You can ask us to delete your user account or your shop’s data at any time. See how to delete your account. Data we must keep by law (issued invoices, warranty registrations) is retained for the legal period and then deleted.

You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hi@autogrid.shop from the mobile number or email on record. We respond within 30 days. If you are a customer of an installer shop and want to exercise these rights, you may contact the shop or us.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest at our storage provider. Access to shop data is limited by the shop you belong to and your role. Sign-in codes expire in 10 minutes.

The app is business software for adults working at installer shops. It is not directed at children under 18.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
